We've moved to Richmond and it's different! A new name and a new location with more space. More presentations, exhibits, and opportunities. Plus, a conference within a conference. Join us at the Greater Richmond Convention Center for the 15th annual Virginia Educational Technology
Conference and experience the difference!
The 2009 Virginia Educational Technology Conference, formerly known as the Educational Technology Leadership Conference, combines with Innovate 2009 to bring technology leaders and practitioners an
event that inspires, informs, and provokes
discussion.
The
Virginia Educational Technology Conference and Innovate 2009 provide unique opportunities for all educators to experience today's instructional and administrative innovations and shape tomorrow's technologies. With its spacious exhibit halls and large meeting rooms, the Richmond Convention Center is the ideal location for hundreds of
presentations and exhibits addressing the five major components of
Virginia's new long-range educational technology plan:
environment, engagement, application, tools, and results.
The greatly expanded 2009 Virginia Educational Technology Conference (VETC2009) has something for everyone. If you are a teacher, join us as presenters and exhibitors demonstrate the latest instructional innovations in teaching. If you are responsible
for the planning, coordination, and implementation of
educational media and technology programs or if you are a coordinator
of instructional technology, library media, distance
learning, instructional television, and instructional
computing applications, VETC2009
provides valuable information and innovative ideas in a single location.
Division superintendents, curriculum coordinators, staff
development specialists, administrative computing
specialists, university teacher education professionals,
telecommunication professionals, and instructional technology resource teachers benefit from the
program and contact with colleagues from across the
Commonwealth.
Innovate 2009 will feature presentations and interactive exhibits showcasing the major components of the Commonwealth’s long-range technology plan: environment, engagement, application, tools and results. The participating exhibitors will provide hands-on opportunities with cutting-edge technologies and products, as well as innovations currently being developed in university and corporate research laboratories. Futurists and thought leaders will discuss the promises and limitations of educational technologies and products.
The 2009 Virginia Educational Technology Conference and Innovate 2009 promise opportunities to explore new
technologies, establish new contacts, and review trends
and issues related to the effective integration of
technology in Virginia's classroom. This key event will
be an invaluable experience for technology leaders
and teachers charged with planning and implementing technology in
Virginia's schools.
The
Virginia Educational Technology Conference is
cosponsored by Virginia Tech's Office of Educational
Research and Outreach and the Virginia Department of Education's Office of Educational
Technology.
